How Does it Work?

As with all ZogSports' leagues, bowling is co-ed. Each night teams will bowl three complete 10 frame games (four bowlers per game).  Teams will receive 2 points for each game won and 1 point for winning the overall night.  Handicap scoring is used (see below). Teams can consist of as many as 6 bowlers and all bowlers present must bowl at least one full game. You must have at least one male/female in all games.

 

What's the Cost and What's Included?

Early/regular registration will open July 26th/August 6th and close August 5th/August 20th or earlier if the league sells out. League fees are $600/$725 for a team of 6 players ($35 for each additional player over 6 - no limit to number of players on your roster) and $115/$130 for individuals (we'll get everyone on a team). ZogSports donates a percentage of our profit to charity.

Fee includes:

  • 6 regular season games
  • A heart-wrenching playoff/positional week where any team within 7 points has a chance at a championship
  • Lane fees (Including shoes and balls)
  • ZogSports' Field Manager
  • One t-shirt per person on the roster
  • "Prize Money" from our sponsors donated to the winning team's charity of choice
  • League administration
  • Happy Hours at the lanes during the games!

 

When Does it Start and When Are the Games?

Games will begin in mid-September and be played on Wednesday nights.

Where are we playing?

All games will be played at Bowl Rite Lanes in Union City, NJ located at 8th Street and Summitt Ave.

What Are the Rules?

 This is a fun recreational league. So we want everyone to play, stay involved and stay safe. The key rules are:

  • 4 on 4, at least one male and one female and 3 minimum to start.
  • Teams will bowl 3 full 10 frame games.
  • Each game of the night is worth 2 points in the standings to the winning team based on handicap.  The team that wins the series (combination of all games) will also receive 1 point in the standings.
  • All players present must bowl at least one full game over the course of the night
  • You will play one other team per night
  • Shoes/balls are included but you can feel free to bring your own

Levels of Play
  • Players Division - Think you're a jock? This division will be competitive, but still fun.
  • Sorta Players - Pretty good athletes, maybe played together before, but still social and laid back.
  • Casual Division - Played before? Not a bad athlete? This is the happy middle ground.
  • Extremely Casual Division - this is the pure fun division. It's for you if you're looking more for the social than the competition or consider yourself a beginner at the organized game.

ZogSports will try to accommodate all team and individual player requests for Division, but cannot guarantee all requests. We will not place a team or player more than 1 division (above or below) their original request.
