Welcome to the New ZogSports Website – New Users (aka Rookies)

Welcome to ZogSports, the charity-focused, social, co-ed sports league for young professionals, with leagues in Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, and New Jersey.  Thanks for checking us out!  Here you’ll find details on where to go first on our website, why you should sign up for a free account, all the great stuff you can sign up for, and how to play with friends and make new ones!

What do I do First? – Create an Account

Why Should you Create an Account?
For starters, it’s the only way to get and stay connected to the ZogSports community.  We’ll keep you up to date with emails about registration, trips, parties, events and great philanthropy opportunities.

Oh yeah!  You can’t register for our activities without an account.  Once you have one, let us act as your social calendar – in your “My Activities page,” you’ll be able to see a list of everything you’re doing this season, next season, and what you’ve done in past seasons.  Have you decided to be a captain?  Great!  This is also where you’ll be able to keep track of and edit your team.

So How Do I Sign Up for this Awesome Account?
It’s easy!  Click Here and fill out your details – it only takes a minute, but will provide you with days, months – heck, years! – of fun leagues and events.  If a friend has already signed you up for an activity and you received an email from us about it, make sure you sign up with the same email address where you received the notification.  Once you’re signed up, that activity will appear in “My Activities”.

How to browse site?
There are four main types of activities at ZogSports: Sports Leagues, Social Events, Trips and Philanthropy [LINKS].  You can browse all of these via the main menu on the left side of your screen.  You can click on a main page for an overview, or click sub-headings for details on specific leagues or events.  That’s also where you’ll sign up for all our fun activities, which brings us to. . .

How to register?

Register as an Individual
After you have created an account, choose the league, trip or event you want to participate in and then click on the “Individuals” link.  From there you can choose to sign up friends and either pay for them or not.  If you pay for them, they will receive an email notifying them.  If you do not, you should tell them to go create an account and register.  Then we’ll make sure you’re on the same team.

How to Play with Friends
Tell each member of your group to complete the “Individual Registration” Form for your chosen sport or activity.  Add some or all of your friends in the “Individuals You’d Like to Be Grouped With” part on the registration from.  (You can pay for friends there as well if applicable).  This will ensure that you are all placed on the same team.  After clicking Submit, each person can pay the individual league fee by credit card via our secure server.

Another way to ensure you are playing with a chosen group (i.e., alumni club, company, organization, etc.) is to make sure everyone signing up puts down the same info in their “comments” section.  For example, type “SEC Alumni” or “Merrill Lynch” or “Jane Doe” (if you know the name of just one person in your group).

Register as a Team
Have a whole team that wants to play?  Great!  Simply click the “Team” link in your chosen league and start adding names to your roster.  There, you’ll also choose your team charity and team name.  The captain can then make changes to the roster, team name, or team charity, and send waiver reminders through “My Activities.”

Have fun with the new site!  Please send website-related questions and all feedback (hopefully good, but constructive is good too) to info@zogsports.org.
