How Does It Work?

It's 8 on 8, 5 men and 3 women on the field at all times. It's no contact, 2-hand touch football. And we keep it exciting for everyone on the team through our four divisions (Players, Sorta Players, Casual and Extremely Casual) and our “female as a primary player” rule (see Rules below).

What's the Cost and What's Included?

Early/regular registration will open January 28th and close February 8th/22nd or earlier if the league sells out. League fees are $995/$1095 for a team of 12-15 players ($35 for each additional player over 15 - no limit to number of players on your roster) and $95/$105 for individuals (we'll get everyone on a team). ZogSports donates a percentage of our profit to charity.
Fee Includes:

• 7 regular season games and 1 scrimmage
• One head referee/game
• 50% of the teams will qualify for the heart-wrenching single elimination playoff tournament
• One t-shirt per person on the roster
• Field fees
• Equipment
• "Prize Money" from our sponsors donated to the winning team's charity of choice
• League administration
• Organized Happy Hours at local bars after the games

When Does It Start and When Are the Games?

We are having pre-season scrimmages the weekend of March 15th. The season starts on March 29th. All teams will play games on Saturdays. Your division does not determine when you play. There will be no games on Easter March 23rd. Games start between 3:00pm - 6:00pm Saturdays.

Where Are We Playing?

Games will take place on the awesome turf field at Brooklyn Tech High School right in downtown Brooklyn.

• The Brooklyn Tech football field is located at 510 Clermont Avenue (Clermont bet. Fulton St/Harriet Ross Tubman and Atlantic Avenue).  This is the heart of downtown Brooklyn just a few blocks from the following subway stops:  2/3/4/5 to Atlantic Avenue, B/Q to Atlantic Aveune; D/M/N/R/LIRR to Atlantic Av-Pacific Street and C to Clinton-Washington Avenues.

 Please note that game times, location and dates mentioned above are a very good guideline, but may change slightly.

What Are the Rules?

This is a fun, recreational touch football league, so we want everyone to play, stay involved and stay safe. The key rules are:

• 8 on 8, 5 men and 3 women on the field at all times
• No contact, 2-hand touch
• A woman must be a Primary Player on a play within 3 consecutive plays
• Scoring - 6 points for touchdown and your decision for 1 or 2-point conversion. (After the game, the team that has the most fun wins)

Levels of Play

• Players Division - Think you're a jock? This division will be competitive, but still fun.
• Sorta Players - Pretty good athletes, maybe played together before, but still social.
• Casual Division - Played before? Not a bad athlete? This is the happy middle ground.
• Extremely Casual Division - this is the pure fun division. It's for you if you're looking more for the social than the competition or consider yourself a beginner at the organized game.
